One knows him not really,
He’s, too, unaware of him really!
They believe that they hear and see,
Believe me, it’s not so really!
Oh, innocents are few there now,
Not is he among them really!
I thought he was a man like “man”,
Wrong I thought, I feel really!
Good is it said to be praised,
Think not so now, it’s vain really!
Sold and bought the clothes may be,
Now faces too! Enough really!
’t was said, “Good name is precious”,
Few believe so, not he really!
Salute to the learned and the worthy,
Learned he is, yet not worthy really!
Pomp and show remain no more,
Mad, why, he has gone really!
Blind was Homer, without eyes,
Though he sees, is blind really!
Enough is enough, more than enough,
Too much is now, thinks he not really?

1. A LOVER’S PRAYER by Utpal Ganatra

The world is here, the world is there!
But lonely am I, as my love is not there!
Breathless I feel with air all around!
Raining water, flowing streams make me no sound!
Season makes me no difference, music touches me not!
My heart seeks only my love, I miss her a lot!
Dream I her saying, “I love you”!
Alas! I wake up, and the words become dew!
Senses serve me not though they are mine!
They feel the presence of hers and suddenly they shine!
Shining moon or roses red!
For me, without her, they all are dead!
“Living” am I, as a merely lifeless tool!
Just as an unwilling child sits in a school!
Cupid or Krishna, whatever may be the name!
I pray to thee, I love her, help me for the same!
